Airbus Defence & Space: the official sponsor of the 2017 Caltech Space Challenge!


We are proud to announce the official sponsor of the Caltech Space Challange: Airbus Defence & Space! Airbus is a world-leading company manufacturing planes, fighter jets, rockets, and satellites. They are the prime contractor of Arianespace’s Ariane 5, the world standard for heavy-lift launchers, that will launch the James Webb Space Telescope. Airbus Defence & Space has contributed to many successful and renowned space missions including Cassini, Mars Express, and most recently, Rosetta. They are also part of today's most exciting missions including LISA Pathfinder, ExoMars, NASA's Orion, and the OneWeb satellite constellation.

Their valuable expertise will be brought to Caltech, with their engineers guiding Space Challenge participants through the design process, giving public lectures, and partaking in judging the competition. Participants will have exclusive interviews and meetings with Airbus during and after the Challenge. This is the first time Airbus is involved in the Caltech Space Challenge, and is also the first time the Space Challenge has a company involved at the level of an official sponsor. This partnership will be tremendously valuable to the Challenge and its participants.

ALL applicants will have the unique chance to have their CV/Resume viewed by Airbus Defence & Space, even the ones not selected for the Challenge!
